Born and raised in Sheffield, northern lass Laura Steel has been compared to everybody from P!nk to Katy Perry via Madonna. A vibrant, animated and electric-coloured performer, Steel mixes electro/dance alternative pop with a huge splash of attitude.
After bursting onto the UK music scene, sharing stages with the likes of Pixie Lott and Diana Vickers, and wowing the crowds at July’s Wireless Festival, Steel has already made a big name for herself on the London live circuit. On stage she is a very likeable persona with terrific audience rapport. Highly creative and fiercely dedicated to her craft, Steel writes most of her own material and with her raw, sincere vocals can move the crowds with a simple ballad as well as the classic dance numbers.
Laura Steel’s first single, electro pop number Feedback, is released in August.
