DJ Snowboy presents a weekly selection of Original and Authentic, Floor-shaking vintage black music from it’s most legendary eras!
Named after the James Brown classic 'Get On The Good Foot', the sets rock the Madame Jojo’s dancefloor for anyone and everyone who loves the all-out party euphoria created by these pure vintage sounds.
February 3rd: Eddie Piller
Following on from his last packed-out session for us last month, we have the return of the Modfather and owner of 'Acid Jazz Records', EDDIE PILLER. As always, expect his selection of the very best floor-filling 60's Funk, Northern Soul and Mod Jazz.
February 10th: Rhythm Doctor
Chris Long (aka The Rhythm Doctor) was always one of the UK's most beloved club DJ's of all things tasty (and before that, was in one of the original bands on 'Two Tone' -The Swinging Cats). He's now running things in Estonia so this is a very rare occasion and opportunity to have him at 'The Good Foot' playing his rated selection of 60's R&B, Northern and Funk. There's a big buzz on this session already so be early.
February 17th: Dean Rudland - Ace Records CD launch for 'Mod Jazz'
We're always in safe hands with Dean; who has literally compiled hundreds of Funk, Soul and Latin albums for many labels. His knowledge of all vintage Black music is second to none. Tonight he's back launching his new amazing compilation on Ace Records - Mod Jazz. Expect loads of giveaways as well as a killer choice of the best 45's.
February 24th: Si Cheeba
It's the last Friday of the month, so that means it's Si Cheeba. 'The King Of The Boogaloo' will be at 'The Good Foot' to aid and abet the resident, SNOWBOY, as usual with his noted collection.
With the UK's greatest guest DJ’s, Regular Album launches from ACE Records and exclusive concert after-parties. Expect an incomparable feel-good blend of 60’s & 70’s R&B, Deep Funk, Soul, Boogaloo, Mambo and Rare Groove.
Beyond trends, beyond purism, The Good Foot is guaranteed to be a magnet for dancers and anyone who loves to have good old-fashioned fun!
