Top flight professional dancers from France, the UK and the USA will make up the panel of judges for Groove Sanctuary’s third House Dance UK competition – where some of the UK’s most sensational movers will again battle all-out for the title of UK House Dancer Supreme! Following the overwhelming success of the event in 2009, Groove Sanctuary is again teaming up with D-Lo Entertainment to bring you this amazing and inspirational spectacle. With £200 cash prize plus a bag stuffed full of goodies up for grabs, this will be another full-on dance extravaganza!
The night will feature exclusive dance showcases from regular Madonna collaborators, Chicago’s The FootworKingz, as well as London’s very own WAAKTiTiONERS. These electrifying House Dance performances will set a very high standard for the competitors!

Groove Sanctuary’s weekly Sunday session at Madame Jojo’s has always had a reputation for the high quality of its music and dancers, and its profile just gets higher as more and more dancers from around the globe grace Madame Jojo’s floor with their finest moves. It is now the definitive one-stop club for dancers visiting London, for dance students and professionals alike. Its internationally-acclaimed list of guesting DJs have included Jazzanova, Peter Kruder, Patrick Forge, Bugz In The Attic, Gilles Peterson, MJ Cole, Martin Solvieg, Aaron Ross, and Yass to name a few. Groove Sanctuary is a showcase for some of the best dancers in the world – these people just don’t know how to stop dancing!
The FootworKingz
Hailing from Chicago USA, King Charles & Prince Jron a.k.a The FootworKingz have appeared in numerous music videos and TV shows including America’s Got Talent; they have performed alongside Missy Elliot and in Madonna’s recent ‘Celebration’ video; and they were part of Madonna’s ‘Sticky & Sweet’ World Tour 2008-09. Their latest DVD ‘Take Flight’ has just been released.
As well as their appearance at House Dance UK they will be teaching some exclusive dance workshops in the legendary Chicago Jackin’ House, Juke and hyper-fast footwork styles. Expect a highly dynamic and powerful performance from them on the night!
WAAKTiTiONERS
There will be a performance from London’s very own WAAKTiTiONERS showcasing the Waaking dance style that has recently gained popularity in London clubs.
Special Guest DJ: Aaron Ross (Restless Soul)
Joining us for this special event is legendary International House DJ, producer and remixer Aaron Ross. The A&R manager for Defected Records and Strictly Rhythm, he juggles selecting the hottest tracks for the label with an impressive list of production projects, tour dates, and hosting Defected’s radio show.
D-Lo
D-Lo Entertainment has been building a strong reputation over the last few years for putting on some of the capital’s finest club nights and dancers’ sessions, plus choreographing fashion shows, music videos and most recently involvement in the up-coming ‘Street Dance’ movie. When it comes to dancers D-Lo is the man!
