Groove Sanctuary every Sunday at Madame JoJo's

Over the last eight years Groove Sanctuary has acquired a reputation as the predominant night for the city’s clubbing cognoscenti, creating that unmistakable groove which opens a sunburst into London’s grey heart; always at the cutting edge, yet always weaving in the finest classics of its genres. A four or five hour set might gather Deep Soulful House, Broken Beats, Nu-Jazz, Latin and Disco into one fluid mix, but even loyal regulars are often surprised by what tunes get pulled out of the bag.

Over the years, an internationally acclaimed list of guesting DJs have included Jazzanova, Peter Kruder, Phil Asher, Patrick Forge, Bugz In The Attic, Gilles Peterson, MJ Cole, Martin Solvieg, Aaron Ross and Quentin Harris, who have all borne witness to the enthusiasm of the dancers, and dancing is what this night is about. The clientele is one of clubland's most enthusiastic. The saying goes: “These people don’t know how to stop dancing”. The floor is a showcase for some of the best groovers around, throwing moves which consistently wow the crowds, and the vibe is as friendly as it is energetic.
