The Good Foot, Launch Night, this Friday!
Madame Jojo's is proud to bring together two of the UK's most acclaimed DJs, Snowboy and Healer Selecta, for a new Friday night residency, The Good Foot. Featuring original and authentic Sixties and Seventies Deep Funk, Soul,
Rare Groove, Boogaloo, Mambo and R&B, this is an incomparable
feel-good blend of floor-shaking black music from its most legendary
eras!

Named after the James Brown classic 'Get On The Good Foot', the night
is set to rock the dancefloor at Madame Jojo’s, but this music is for
anyone and everyone who loves the all-out party euphoria created by
these pure vintage sounds. Snowboy is the original co-founder of the
awesome global phenomenon that is 'Deep Funk’, and Healer Selecta is
the founder and host of the the celebrated artists’ collective 'Raison
D'Etre'. Both can take credit for presiding over some of the UK’s most
successful music and dance events, and both are key figures in their
own musical and dance genres. The Good Foot is brought to you by two
passionate and proven experts in their fields, so you’re in very safe
hands!
The Good Foot takes ‘Deep Funk’ with
its focus on classic Funk and Soul, and develops and expands it with
the new musical dimensions which these two connoisseurs bring to the
feast. If the mood takes them, don't be surprised if they stretch out
to some Afro Beat, Jazz, Mod Hammond, Jazz Funk, Disco and Seventies
tough Fania-style Salsa too! Beyond trends, beyond purism, The Good
Foot is guaranteed to be a magnet for dancers and anyone who loves to
have good old-fashioned fun!
