Specialising in music as diverse as Electronica, Hip Hop, Rock, Disco and Funk, along with sensational burlesque performances, top comedy nights and one-off artist showcases—recent acts to play the venue include Scissor Sisters, Ed Harcourt, Bloc-Party and The Kings Of Leon—Madame Jo-Jo’s has redefined its artistic output over recent months, underpinned by consistency and quality. Architecturally a throwback to a bygone era of glamour, with crimson velvet banquette seating and gilded art-deco balustrades, Madame Jo Jo’s stylishly retro interiors intriguingly offset the diverse contemporary musical output and its up-to-the-minute following, as well as making it make it a popular choice for filming and high profile celebrity/corporate events.

Deep Funk—Few club nights can genuinely lay claim to the oft used terms “legendary” and “trailblazing” but Deep Funk, featuring the world famous funk and soul DJ, Keb Darge, is undoubtedly one of them. This regular Friday club is renowned the world over, primarily due to the Darge’s impressive collaborations with the likes of Pete Rock, DJ Spinna, Jazzy Jeff the The Wu Tang Clans' RZA. The musical focus is on the provision of rare and irresistible late 60’s and early 70’s funk, jazz and soul and his pioneering output has ignited an entire musical movement, which has now spread across clubs all over the globe. Darge’s unique sound regularly features in film soundtracks and adverts alike and his main collaborators Kenny Dope and DJ Shadow regularly join him at Deep Funk for guest DJ slots.

White Heat—Madame Jo Jo’s has forged a reputation as a forerunner in providing a platform for the best live new music in London and maintains these credentials with the addition of new Indie/Rock club night White Heat. Principally focusing on cutting edge live bands and discerning genre DJs, showcases have included the likes of Bloc Party alongside up and coming acts such as The Beat-Ups, Pro Forma and Uncle John and Whitelock. Every week sees three live performances followed by exclusive sets from the White Heat resident DJ’s with their choice of the best tracks from the independent rock scene

Electrogogo—One of the most popular nights at Madame Jo Jo’s is Electrogogo run by the colourful partnership of DJs Frankie D, ROI (Mechanical Cabaret) and Mark Moore (S-Express). Electronica is the primary musical output with residents playing a mix of nu-electro, electro disco, twisted house, trippy disco and eclecto-clash. Electrogogo attracts this a loyal following and has boasted a diverse array of acts including recognised performers such as Erasure’s Andy Bell, Siobhan Fahey and Bobbie Gillespie, along with up and coming bands.

The Glitz—A direct result of the growing demand in London for exciting electro rock sounds combined with the best of the 80s electronic remixes, The Glitz offers up electro-kitsch sounds hosting favourite names of the genre such as Demeter, the cult post- punk icons Andi Sex Gang and Neon Electronics - previously known as Neon Judgement widely acknowledged for their influence on the current electro - techno scene.
